3 Of The Top 10 Cities For STD Are Right Outside Military Bases

The website RentApplication.com used 2013 data from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to compile a list of the top 10 most sexually diseased cities in the United States.  Of the top ten cities listed, three sit right outside Military bases.  Norfolk, Virginia ranks 5th on their list and is home to the Norfolk Naval Base.  In 9th place is Killeen, Texas, home to Fort Hood.  Fort Bragg’s Fayetteville, North Carolina, is in 10th place.

If you are wondering about the data for your city, check out the map below provided by RentApplication.com and filled with data from the CDC for 2013.  The data reflect reports of syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia. (Herpes data is not collected).  To normalize the data, they measured rates per 100,000 people. They chose only to show cities with a significant amount of population, so rural counties are not shown on this map.
