According to a report from FOX 32 News, American Legion Post 800 is looking to stop the violence in Chicago.  The members are looking for other War Veterans to help join their effort and be a part of the Community Protection Committees which will recon their communities, identify threats, gather intelligence and report the information to the proper authorities.

According to Robert Davis, the Commander of American Legion Post 800, “The Police are doing their best to deal with the situation [in Chicago], but they don’t have the manpower, and in some cases the firepower, and in the majority of the situations, the community support to help solve the problem”
