The owners of K9 Hero Haven based out of Herndon, Pennsylvania are seeking Combat Veterans to adopt Retired Military and Police Working Dogs that are in their care. Many of the dogs that K9 Hero Haven has are dogs who have completed tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Because of the what the dogs went through overseas and their training, many are considered difficult to place once they are retired from service. K9 Hero Haven feels that Combat Veterans will have a better understanding of what the dogs may have gone through and they can both provide support for each other.
