Do You Know A WWII Vet? Get Them On An Honor Flight

It is estimated that every day, we lose 640 World War II Veterans.  Honor Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. Honor Flight provides free flights from regional hubs to Washington, DC so World War II Veterans will have the opportunity to experience their memorial.

From the Honor Flight website:

Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.

If you are in the Washington, DC area, you can review the flight schedule for upcoming Honor Flights. If you wish to greet and honor the Veterans at the World War II Memorial, they are typically at the Memorial between 8 AM and 4 PM according to the HonorFlight.org website.
