Homeless Marine Corps Veteran Wows Passers-By With His Talent

Donald Gould is a Marine Corps Veteran who is currently homeless and living on the streets of Sarasota, Florida. A video of Donald Gould playing the Styx song “Come Sail Away” on a Piano on a street corner in Sarasota, Florida has gone viral and he is getting a lot of attention.

Donald says he played the clarinet in the Marine Corps and traveled all over the world.  After he got out of the Marine Corps, he took a couple years off and then went to college.  Donald got laid off from his job and has been homeless about 6 or 7 years, living under the stars pretty much every night unless it is raining.  Listening to Donald, you quickly get the idea that he is a very humble man.  Hopefully this exposure will be good for him and help him get back on his feet so he does not continue to be one of the many homeless Veterans living on the streets of America.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Donald and as of today, it has raised more than $27,000.  All funds will go to Donald (Boone) Gould to secure a home, a car and to possibly return to school for his last 3 classes for his music theory degree.
